Today, only ruins remain of the mausoleum, which was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Nevertheless, it is a place visited by many local and foreign tourists. A significant portion of the ruins were used in the construction of Bodrum Castle, while another portion was taken to England in the 1850s.
